Asphalt repair and crack filling in Hannibal, MO

Stop the water, and you stop the damage.

Potholes, failing patches, cracks, edge breakup, and low spots. Repair work is about keeping water out of the base before small problems turn into a full replacement.

What we repair

The failures we see most, and what causes them.

Almost every asphalt failure traces back to water. A crack lets water through, the base softens, traffic works the softened area, and the surface above it breaks apart. By the time you have a pothole, the damage underneath is already older than the hole.

Repair work means finding where water is getting in and closing it off, then fixing the surface damage that has already happened. Sometimes that is straightforward crack filling. Sometimes it means cutting out a failed section, correcting the base, and patching properly.

  • Potholes and cut-and-patch repair
  • Crack filling and joint treatment
  • Failing or sunken previous patches
  • Edge failure and unsupported edges
  • Low areas holding standing water

Repair or replace

How we make the call.

Repair usually makes sense when

  • Failures are isolated rather than widespread
  • The base is still stable outside the failed area
  • Cracks are the main issue and are still narrow
  • The surface is otherwise draining properly

Replacement is the honest answer when

  • Failures keep reappearing across the surface
  • The base is soft, moving, or saturated
  • Edges and joints are breaking up everywhere
  • Repair cost each season approaches replacement

Residential and commercial

Same problem, different scale.

Residential repair

Driveway cracks, potholes near the apron, edge crumbling where vehicles turn off, and settled areas near garages. Most residential repair is small work that prevents a large bill later.

Commercial repair

Lot-wide crack programs, potholes in drive aisles, failures at entrances and dumpster pads, and patching around utility cuts. Work may be phased when site conditions, access requirements, and scheduling allow.

Repair questions

Asphalt repair FAQs.

If you need something specific, call or text us and we can talk it through.

Text us your question
Why does crack filling matter so much?

Cracks are how water reaches the base. Once the base is saturated and traffic keeps loading it, the pavement above starts moving and breaking up. Filling cracks early is the cheapest way to stop that chain of events.

Can potholes be patched permanently?

A patch can last a long time when the failure is isolated and the base underneath is still sound. When the same area keeps coming apart, the base is usually the real problem and needs correcting.

What causes edges to crumble?

Unsupported edges, water sitting alongside the pavement, and vehicles running off the side. Edge repair usually means rebuilding support as well as replacing the asphalt.

When should I stop repairing and replace?

When failures are spread across the surface rather than isolated, when the base is moving, or when the cost of chasing repairs each season approaches the cost of doing it properly once.

Do you repair commercial lots as well as driveways?

Yes. Potholes, patches, cracks, and edge failure are repaired on residential driveways and commercial parking lots alike.
