Who we are
An owner-operated asphalt contractor based in Hannibal.
United Way Asphalt & Sealcoat works out of 11598 Martin Pl, Unit B, Hannibal, MO 63401. Owner James Brothers has approximately 30 years of asphalt industry experience, and the company has been operating under its own name since 2008.
We perform both residential and commercial work: driveways for homes in Hannibal and the surrounding area, and parking lots for churches, offices, and businesses. We handle the grading and base preparation underneath the pavement as well as the asphalt on top, which is the part most people never see and the part that decides how long the surface lasts.
We keep the service list tight on purpose: paving, sealcoating, repair and crack filling, striping, and grading and site preparation. Those five things cover the whole life of an asphalt surface, and we would rather do them well than list everything under the sun.

How we work
Straight answers, prepared base, clean edges.
Our workmanship philosophy is not complicated. Most asphalt failures start underneath the surface or at the edges, so that is where we spend our attention.
- Look at the base and the drainage before quoting the surface
- Say plainly when repair makes more sense than replacement
- Grade and compact properly rather than paving over problems
- Keep the site clean and the edges finished
- Explain what we are doing and why, in plain language
- Free estimates on residential and commercial work
